No dogs. I wish I'd seen some. |

Either some very noisy flies or bees followed me for a bit from the summit as I descended. They stayed behind me the whole time, so it wasn't really an issue. |

Started out from the trailhead at 6am. It quickly warmed up past what the forecast had been telling me, so I had to shed layers after about 1/3 of a mile. Steep from the get-go, though there were stretches where it was flat and offered a nice break. Crossed paths with a couple of thru-hikers, and made it to the summit/fire tower about 8:20 or so. On the way back down, I encountered a few more folks who were ascending, and it was still sunny and beautiful. Lots of great views. I would highly recommend this one if you're looking for great foliage shots at the summit once Autumn really kicks in.
