Comments
Comments: After not having hiked it in a few years, today we went back to the Howard Pond Overlook in Hanover. This trail system on the west side of Dimmock Mountain leads through some beautiful forest to a couple of viewpoints, one of which is quite expansive. Although a rather short lollipop loop, it can be combined with hikes up the Mystery Mountain Trail, up to Glassface Ledge, and/or up to Mexico Ledge, which are all nearby and of similar distance/difficulty.

The trails themselves are in good shape and are mostly the same as I remember them, although the signage is more faded, some to the point that it is no longer legible. There were great views across Howard Pond and along the Androscoggin River Valley today. After the hike, we spent a while at the swimming area on Howard Pond across from the trailhead. Although not too hot today, it was still a great day for a swim!
