Comments
Comments: Party of three snowshoed and skied to Nesowadnehunk Cabin Saturday on about 10 inches new wettish snow over existing base which was more or less consolidated in the middle of Williams Pond Rd.

Next day took Tote Rd, which had been sledded Saturday. Martson Trail had a decent base left from party of five which had signed trail register the previous weekend. New snow become powder as we gained elevation, and increased to 12-16 inches above the ridge after the little pond. After the junction with the Mt Coe Trail, depth steadily increased to 25", mid-thigh in Lightnings with tails, on the summit cone. We wallowed upward until sunset, minus 2F and dropping with the wind rising, then bailed near the scrub line, so maybe 200 ft elevation or so from summit. Next day spoke with a party of five arriving at Nesowadnehunk lean-to's for a Tuesday attempt.
