Comments: Uphill trail-lower judge, black cat, upper judge; Tri Color-ski trail, saddleback spur, Appalachian Trail

I had an indy ski day to burn so I packed up my downhill skis and boots and validated my ticket at 9:30. Snowshoes all the way as I am the first and only one out there today on the uphill travel. I looked at the map before I went ans even took a photo of it. They added an advanced uphill trail called blackcat. One time before blackcat I had to retrace steps due to no markings and open woods which seemed to be the name of the trail. Once I hit the tri-color ski trail I went up since I saw closed for the uphill. There were about 15 people skiing the whole mountain so only saw 4 people come down the trail before I hit the spur. Took me forever to take my skis off and figured to check out the summit to see if I will go on to the horn. That was not the case… holy wind! Took my breath away kind of wind and knock ya over! It was very icy and windblown and drifts on top. I made it to the peak touched the top and tried to not fall over on the way back down. Took my ski boots out of my bag and skied down in 10 minutes. Made that worth it!! Had a beer inside and then went out and skied until 2:30. Beautiful skiing conditions! At least breaking trail the snow was fluffy!
