Comments
Comments: This loop hike takes the hiker up to the North Ledges, over the summit of Mt Will, and over to the South Ledges. It is very well blazed in blue and highly maintained. Several informative signs peppered throughout the hike.

Snow levels have been abysmal here. Even with the active snow today, there was not enough snow for snowshoes except for the portion of trail that crosses Mt Will summit. Even then, it is not presently worth putting on snowshoes for this small segment. There is ice, however, as one travels counterclockwise off the summit to the South Ledges. These ice segments are on the only steep terrain of this hike and require some form of traction.

If you wish to visit the Gray Memorial, this is a short jaunt off trail. It is well signed. Nice plaque established in memory of the Maine State Trooper and his wife who lost their lives in a plane crash on the mountain in 1992.
