Comments
Comments: Followed the route described in the AMC/MMG. Up to the first knoll the trail was easy to follow except for a blowdown or two. Then after the descent through a cutover patch I had to guess my way through the low wet ground and up the slope ahead. I came out on the ATV path by keeping yellow "POSTED" signs to my right. That is, I kept to the left of the stone wall that goes up the slope. This section was more a bushwhack than a trail. The ATV trail is well-traveled with lots of boot prints, and the summit was open and clear. Snow and ice were never more than 3-4 inches so I barebooted the whole way. A more sensible person might have worn spikes.
