Rugged slog up Doubletop, we believe we might be the first on the summit since the New Year. Trail had been significantly undercut by freeze/thaw runoff earlier in the winter. This combined with 3+ feet of snow above 3000 made for some of the most rugged trail breaking I've ever been party to. About 5 hours up, 1:45 down. View was worth it. |
