Brilliant day in the woods with the couple inches of fresh snow plastered on the trees at higher elevations. Encountered only 7 other hikers all day. Snowshoes were helpful to pack down the new snow, as well as provide traction on the icy sections. Views were obstructed from the tower by blowing clouds but the beauty of the snowy woods made up for it. |
