Comments
Comments: Wheeler Brook Trail is a nice snowshoe through mostly open hardwoods. Need to pay close attention in order to stay on trail in a couple of spots. Not a lot of snow down low, maybe 6-8" at height of land. We wore snowshoes because we like to snowshoe, and it leaves a nicer track.

Very little snow on FR 8 and Little Lary Brook Road but kept snowshoes on out of laziness. Lots of animal tracks here! ME 113 had been snowmobiled recently.

Roost Trail had an old snowshoe track which made for easy walking. Finally donned spikes for the short but steep descent to Roost View Spur. Nice view here!

Easy 1+ mile back to the spotted car on ME 113.

(Afterwards we checked out possible parking for Caribou Mtn. on Bog Road [doable] AND for the east end of Haystack Notch Trail [not doable, boo].)
