 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Morton Cutoff is well plowed, Lincoln Brook Road, to the right at the initial 3 way, will likely become a snowmo trail again. Passable but not plowed. Wiggle Brook Road was not plowed but passable. Porter Brook Road, to within 1 mile of the summer turnoff was passable. It is about 6" of beach sand powder on sheer ice. We made it up the hill after the bridge after multiple tries with chains but opted to quit while we where ahead and found a spot to turn around and park safely lower, before the bridge. Of note, Kennebago Road's gate at the camps was open. |

 | Comments: |
A FINE day to start off winter. We laid tracks/broke out a decent line that follows more or less the summer herd path and path of least resistance bushwhacking. We were unable to open canister. Unconsolidated early winter snow, about 4-6" of powder, with 2-3" of breakable crust, with another 3-6" of dry powder on top. Nothing that held up a gang of eight, and another group of five. |
