 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We approached via Morton Cutoff Road, Kennebago River Road, and Wiggle Brook Road. The roads were nominally plowed up to the south end of Little Kennebago Lake, then not plowed. We drove in behind another group hiking the same day, over about 4"-5"fresh stop atop a packed base of hard icy snow and got to within 0.4 E of where the hike turns off Wiggle Brook onto a logging road S & hoofed in from there. Those before us got stuck trying to go further and had to push vehicles back out & down a hill. A bridge on Wiggle Brook has a 1.5' hole in it--we rolled over it, but it could cause problems and/or get bigger. |

 | Comments: |
Party of 4 following the same day tracks of a party of 8. About 4"-5" new snow atop crusty, icy snow. Maybe a total of 9" at most on mountainside, hard to say & variable. Snowshoes all the way. Logging roads and herd paths were in reasonable shape, no major obstacles. We hoped to get to KD, WC, and Boundary, but with the roads snowed in & temps expected to plummet, we tabled our big plans and settled for this summit. |
