Comments
Comments: All trails were bone dry and easy to follow. Knife Edge will have some dew on it early mornings from now until park closing but it usually dries out by mid morning on sunny days making for good grip while traversing. Knife Edge is great in either direction but a little easier going from Pamola to Baxter as the climb up Chimney Peak is much easier than down climbing it.

Hunt Trail has some well placed rebar at treeline to help navigate up some semi difficult boulders.

Dudley Trail has some big boulder scrambles with plenty of handholds, just follow the blue blazes for best route.

Abol Trail above the switchback reroute has some loose rocks between boulder scrambles so use caution if descending, easy enough if going slow.

Tote Road is two miles between Abol campground and Katahdin Stream Campground which makes for a nice loop if you're looking to explore more than one trail up and down, highly recommend the extra two miles to check out different views from different trails.

Great day out, foliage is peaking, and plenty of thru-hikers finishing their A.T. journey on a gem mint day on Mount Katahdin.

FYI, Nesowadnehunk Field has had a shortage of fire wood recently so pick up a stack for $5 at Katahdin Stream Campground on the way to Neso or ask when entering the park if they are stocked.
