| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
3 spots at Shell Pond Tr TH, more along road. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The Rattlesnake Brook crossing has to be forded (about a foot or two deep?) but otherwise no issues |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The bridge is out at Rattlesnake Brook in the NE corner of Shell Pond, right as you exit the orchard/meadow area. On the east side of the river I could see there was a path of cut grass running north along the river that may indicate some workaround, but I did not investigate as I wanted to do my best to stay on the CTA trails. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Mine had fun. White Cairn was a bit scrambly and had a few large steps that may be an issue for a smaller dog. Decent amount of water available throughout. |
| Bugs: |
I did not have bugspray on and there were no issues. |

| Comments: |
Nice day for some tracing over in Maine.
Putting this in mainly for the trail maintenance / water crossing note as I did not see it on previous trip reports. These trails are in great shape otherwise - nice job CTA and thanks to the landowners for keeping this open! |
