Carriage roads to Hadlock Brook Trail packed and groomed, Hadlock Brook Trail was broken out partially by one person before me to about 1/2 way up when person turned around - broke trail through deep snow 18-24 inches with some deep drifts up to ridgeline and Sarget Mountain South Ridge Trail Junction. Ridleline was snow covered mainly 4-6 inches with some deeper drifts and very few ice patches - occasional exposed rock - . Sargent Mountain south ridge trail back down and over to Ampitheater trail deep snow once into the trees, broke trail through 18-24 inches of snow with some deeper drifts. Ampitheater trail was unbroken with 12-18 inches of snow down to junction wih Hadlock Brook trail. Great day to be up in Acadia National Park, great views and had the whole mountain to myself all day. |
