Comments
Comments: One absolutely massive blowdown though I forget where...they have flagged and cleared a route around it with pink surveyors tape. I think it was on one of the trails to the north of Second Hill, maybe Normal Mills or Notch Trail. One other small one that should be taken care of; again, I forget where sorry. Maybe a few other easy stepovers or ones I'm forgetting about. I believe all trails were blazed and signage intact. I don't recall the frequency of blazing but it all seemed fresh enough and the trails easy to follow.

Nice evening redline after work with just about perfect weather :) This hike was to clean up trails that were further described in the 12th edition of the MMG that were not described to the same extent in the 10th and 11th edition. Oi vay. Namely, in case anyone out there is redlining too and I can save them some time, Cedar Trail between Goosefoot Trail and Norman Mill Trail, Normal Mill Trail between Cedar and Notch trails, the tiny section of Great Marsh Trail between Wheel Trail and Third Hill Trail, Porcupne Trail between Stone Fence Trail and Cedar Trail, and Hidden Trail are all now needed. Unfortunately, not all of these are right next to each other and some are teeny tiny (take for example the 93ft section of Great Marsh Trail I needed) so these was a lot of mileage for relatively few new miles.

My route: Cedar Trail --> right (north) onto Normal Mill Trail --> right (south) onto Notch Trail --> stupid OAB on 1/4mi of Stone Fence Trail because I can't read a map --> right (east) on Notch Trail --> tiny OAB on Great Marsh Trail between Wheel Trail and Third Hill Trail --> Wheel Trail --> left (south) on Notch Trail to Darter Trail and back to --> Incline Trail --> right (north) on Ridge Trail --> left (west) on Hidden Trail (shown as Stone Fence on Gaia) --> left on Stone Fence Trail --> right on Porcupine Trail --> left on Cedar Trail back to car.

The trails were very dry overall and there were only a few very soft and wet mud pits on the trails that were more like roads such as Cedar, Normal Mills, and Notch Trail. Mostly flat or gentle with Incline Trail having a steeper pitch or two. Beware that bikers are allowed on many of these trails. Also many trail runners that will blaze by you. Gaia stopped recording partway through but the hike should have been something like 6.2mi with 325ft of gain taking 2hrs to complete.
