Fun day wrapping up the official winter season with The Old Mountaineer, Gerri, and J. A few wannabe local experts gave some condescending parking lot advice that there was no need for snowshoes, so we didn’t carry them, the last 1.5 would have been lovely snowshoeing but hey that’s on me (overcast morning so couldn’t see the snowy trees up high and the roads showed no evidence of the snow we woke up to in the Whites). Trail is solid and was fine in spikes, about 5 inches of fluffy powder up over 3000 feet.
Actually felt a little like winter today, go figure. |
