Comments
Comments: Becton Trail is blazed in blue. The others may have been as well. I don't recall the frequency on the others but if I recall correctly, Becton Trail was regularly blazed and needed it as it could be rather obscure with the snow on the ground.

One last little hike on our way back from Acadia. I'd redlined some of the trails on Blue Hill previously and today finished them off. We ascended via Becton Trail which goes through some beautiful woods and is quite gentle. Lots of muddy and yucky spots further along in the hardwoods though. A heavy dusting of snow in some parts and no snow at all in others; interesting. No ice really until we hit rock/ledge on Osgood Trail to the summit. Beautiful views from this great little seaside peak. We descended the Tower Service Trail to the field/jct with Hayes Trail which we then ascended back to the summit, then descended Osgood and Becton Trail back to the car. The former two had ice. We never threw on the spikes though I would have recommended carrying them. I'm sure conditions are all different now anyway. Gaia had us at about 5.5-5.75mi, 1000-1100ft of gain, 2hr5min.
