Comments
Comments: Second hike of the day after cleaning up trails around Eliot Mtn and Cedar Swamp Mtn on our second day in Acadia. The trail had some wet and muddy sections but was moderate even on the ledge. Wish we'd had views. We hiked the trail over the summit to its northern end, then took the carriage road to the east back which had relatively minimal elevation gain/loss. We missed the Champlain Monument Spur at the start. It's obvious if you're looking up...it's also RIGHT at the start of the trail. Gaia had us at 2.75mi, 350ft of gain, in just under 1hr.
