 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We were lodged at Kidney Pond and came in via Abol Bridge & Abol Stream Trail to the Tote Road. There was very little snow on the road; we rigged wheels to sleds & used them for the ingress & part of the egress. |

 | Surface Conditions: |

Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Lower part of trail had been subject to heavy floods before our hike and some of the bog bridges in the low swampy area were displaced. Still a lot of unfrozen standing water and tricky areas. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Displaced bog bridges. Probably about 6 or so blowdowns of significance and lots of smaller stuff down. Trail from beyond Old Jay Eye Rock to summit is in need of a serious haircut. |

 | Lost and Found: |
One of our party lost a sled rig wheel. |

 | Comments: |
See notes above about bog bridge displacement. Only about 2"-3" at elevations below 3k, a little more higher than that with some older hard drift pockets & lots of ice up high. Not enough snow to make getting in & out of the Old Jay Eye crack easy. |
