 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Had to park alongside the dirt rd. The Rte 4 lot is glare ice but was plowed and is passable with 4 wheel drive |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Trail was not crossable at the Sandy River as the footbridge must have washed away leaving an unjumpable gap 10 feet over rushing water. A trail detour is available by continuing north on Rte 4, heading in on Beech Hill Rd maybe .75 of a mile to the AT junction |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some fallen branches, which we removed |

 | Comments: |
The water fall at Piazza Rock was definitely high volume. Kathy B and I had a great but short hike. |
