 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail is marked with wooden arrows tacked to trees. I think the markings were regular and semi-frequent. Some sharp/turns switchbacks that could be easy to miss especially with all the leaves on the ground but overall I don't think the trail is hard to follow. I don't think there was much more than just the occasional trivial step over blowdown. |

First little morning hike with the CCC. This is a new addition to the 12th edition of the MMG. The views from the ledges are great and the spurs to them are signed although if memory serves correctly, at least one of them would be easy enough to walk by. Note that the trail is not shown in its entirety on Gaia; I believe Gaia shows the trail stopping at South Ledge (no loop). The small ladder is truly a small "ladder"; no scrambling is needed and you could easily avoid the "ladder". Some beautiful woods along the ridge and some nice brooks down low. Some steeper pitches but overall an easy-moderate hike. Gaia had us at 5.8mi, 1050ft of gain, 2hr15min. |
