Comments
Comments: Out and back peak-grabbing hike to get Reddington from Caribou Valley Road. Very steep getting up to S Crocker for about 1000 feet or so, be ready for a climb! Trail and rocks are wet from recent rain. But AT is in good shape here. Reddington herd path zigzags through tight pine groves, and pine needles soaked me as I moved through. Hard to make good time getting down to the col between the two peaks because it is so tight. Not much else to report. Very little water on the trail surprisingly, my feet were mostly dry other than one spot between the two summits. Great views from S Crocker, not much on Redd, but a nice sign marking the summit.
