 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We came from Rte 3, so drove all way across Magalloway Road to Pamachenee Road and then north towards Bosebuck Camps and over 2 miles to a left hand turn up logging road until the driveable portion ends at the north side of Bosebuck, about 1.7 miles. High clearance rig is a good idea. |

The drive to get here from our first hike up Rump was long but lovely, felt like nobody was around. Getting to the summit of Bosebuck looked daunting from where we parked the car. It looked like a long ways to push through shoulder high weeds and growth over the log cut. But luckily we stumbled upon a narrow moose path that went straight at where we were headed. Yah we stepped in water and mud but pushing through those weeds that the moose made it a lot easier to see to step, wished it was more worn in but super happy to have been able to follow it. Heading into the woods we found some better moose paths and fresh poop! So nice to follow the Moose and the easiest way up to the summit, we found right around some ledges. Happily surprised how fast we did this bushwhack. We enjoyed some views through the trees. We were able to follow our tracks, the moose paths right back to the truck. Color is showing on the northsides of the peaks, gold and red foliage, fall is arriving fast.
