Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Too many to count, plus walking in water in several spots. Bridge over Morrison Brook at end of loop is out. Could not find spot for rock hopping, had to just walk through, but it was the end so it was less of concern.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Few blowdowns, nothing major. Between summit and Caribou trail could use a brushing.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cooper and Izzy had a blast. Lots of water on the trails for the thirsty pup, and a few locations deep enough for a good cool off. Expect a muddy pup by the end, but they may have a chance to clean off at the last water crossing. Smaller pups may need a boost over ledges approaching the summit.
Bugs
Bugs: not really a bother
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Wet ankle sock left on trail sign at the intersection.

Comments
Comments: Hiked counter clockwise. Recommend this direction; steepest approach to summit, more gradual descent. Trails are quite wet, slippery, mossy rocks, etc., as expected. Views from the summit and ledges on approach are fantastic, some of the best. Little bit of haze, but many peaks still visible inn all directions, including some of the presidentials. Much wilderness to take in, plus blueberries ripening to sweeten the deal. Water is flowing, which means many smaller water falls are spectacular. Fairly quiet day crossing paths with one trail runner and 2 others hiking up as we descended. Pop up rain storm passed over just after we left.

Outhouse in parking area was damaged and not usable.
