Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Swift River Road kind of sucks. Do NOT do with low clearance. One section looked close to a washout, lots of sharp (and large) rocks in the road. Takes some skill to get down.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There was 5 of note. The first one is the hardest. There is a tree to uphiller's right to shimmy over though- or rock hop if you're tall.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blowdowns up by the campsite. Lower portions so so so muddy- not a water bar in sight, but in the same breath it wasn't really steep enough that they'd do much. Marked well though.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Not too bad, but i found a tick on my shoulder (starting to embed) at the top

Comments
Comments: 3 miles of la-de-da followed by about 1.3 of OMG. Gain 1700 in the last portion- it's sort of nuts! Really beautiful though. As far as talus goes, this stuff was secure. I appreciated that. Beginning was so muddy, top was hard but way more awesome. Nice hazy views up top. Will return on a clearer day!

Report down there too.
