Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Roadside parking with room for several cars by the trailhead. Signs indicate that you can only park on the east side of the road that the trailhead is on. I appeared to be the only car there from 2-2:30ish.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trails were blazed in the color of their name and were not hard to follow. I think there was a large widowmaker in the canopy above Orange Trail and maybe one other smaller blowdown somewhere but I don’t remember much. No trails signs other than a kiosk at the start of the trails. Looks like they rerouted or are doing some sort of work near a very muddy section of road down low.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure
Bugs
Bugs: I think they were around but I was moving fast so wasn’t too bothered by them.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: 4th and final redline of the day after Mt Tire’m, Black Mtn, and Bear Mtn. I kept it a short day due to the thunderstorms…that never seemed to precipitate.

This is a pleasant little mountain. The right fork described in the guidebook is the Red Trail and the left fork is the Orange Trail. The Blue Trail is a short (less than 0.1mi) trail connecting the two about halfway up. I ascended the Red Trail and descended the Orange Trail doing the quick OAB on Blue Trail on my way down. The trails were gentle with good footing and very trail runnable if you’re into that. Cool history at the kiosk. The monument was cool but I think the views were pretty limited. I don’t recall the trails being allthat muddy other than near the start along an old road where the trail seems to be rerouted to some wooden planks. Just a little wet/muddy.
