Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I did not follow the guidebook’s directions but rather my GPS and came in from Rt 1 just north of Princeton and took Grand Lake Rd —> Wabassus Rd —> Wabassus Mtn Rd tothe trailhead. The first road I think may change names after a certain point; it’s also called Milford Rd on Gaia. In any case, this road should be easily passable by low clearance cars. The other two roads were in pretty good shape too but were a little rougher…maybe you’d want mid-clearance? The parking area is just a very small grassy area, easy to drive by. I was the only one here and I think there would’ve only been room for another car or two. On the way out, I took whats shown on Gaia as Wabassus Mtn Rd —> Third Lake Ridge Rd —> Little River Rd —> CCC Rd. Long ways out but roads were all in good condition similar to my drive in. I think this may have been the route the guidebook describes for getting to the trailhead??

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is marked with markers in the shape of a leaf that sometimes point in the direction of the trail. I did not find it too hard to follow. I think it may have been a little overgrown but, if so, it wasn’t too bad. I don’t recall any blowdowns.

Comments
Comments: 2nd hike of the day after Pocomoonshine Mtn on my way back from Houlton. The hike seems a little random as there’s no longer a view at the summit (but a nice little bench awaits you!) and the summit loop seems sort of pointless but the trail was actually pleasant and the summit area was nice enough. Nice grades too. And, from what I care member, there wasn’t any mud, and the trailbed looked rather new, especially on the summit loop. Gaia had me at 1.6mi, 450ft of gain, 38min.
