Walked to trail head, however, parking is available in North East Harbor. We grabbed the Island bus for a ride back to the east side of NE harbor. |

|
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Small crossings all rock hops, bridges. Log bridges were wet and slippery |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in great shape and easy to follow. Blue blazed trails could use some re-blazing above tree-line due to faded blazes. Cairns are frequent to assist in following the trails, especially above tree-line. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cooper had a blast. Trails are gradual, and pretty easy for pups, although, there are a few steeper sections that could be challenging for some pups. Plenty of flowing water crossings for the thirsty pup, as well. Several other friendly pups on the trails. |

 | Bugs: |
Deer flies annoying at summit of Sargent |

 | Comments: |
Traverse of the hills, taking advantage of the free Island bus service to get back to our starting point. As expected after all the rains, the trails were quite wet and muddy; mud was mostly soft and squishy. By-passes have formed to get around many of the sections with standing water. Slabs above tree-line were mostly dry. Wet rocks were rough and not too slick. The fog lifted after more than a week, and the views were wonderful. Lots of people at the Jordon Pond house contrasted with the quite trails. |
