Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I believe the roads were paved all the way but the road off of Center Hill Rd (the “driveway” as described in the guidebook) is very steep and bumpy. Room for more than a dozen cars here but only a couple there when I was there around 4:30pm.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: My memory is foggy, sorry. I believe it was blazed in blue (easy to follow in any case) and I don’t recall much in the way of blowdowns. Also, while there were numbered stakes in the ground, there were no interpretive signs to go with them!

Comments
Comments: 3rd Maine Redline of the day after the Loop Trail, Brook Trail loop over Tumbledown and Blue Mtn nearby. Although this trail isn’t difficult, it does gain more elevation and is a bit tougher than the guidebook seems to imply. I would not quite describe it as a “consistent contour”. Also, the guidebook says it’s only 75ft of gain but Gaia, who normally underscores elevation, had me at over 150ft of gain. Footing was usually pretty decent though. I checked out the viewpoints along the way even though they aren’t explicitly needed for redlining. I don’t really recall how muddy or wet the trail was sorry but I do recall being surprised by the fact that although there were numbered stakes in the ground, there were no interpretive stations. It took me 15min to hike this loop. Great views for little effort!
