| Comments: |
Took the Burnt Meadow Mountain Trail (Blue Trail)up, which had only one short section of snow which was firm and not very deep. Enjoyed the ledges near the top. We took the Twin Brook Trail (Yellow Trail) down. There was pretty consistent snow cover between the north peak and the junction with the Stone Mountain Spur. It was firm and not very deep; we did fine with trail runners and no traction. After the junction the snow petered out. Saw great views, turkey vultures, pileated woodpeckers, and lots of dogs. |
