Comments
Comments: Bought uphill pass, Saddleback ski area very friendly and helpful. Get a trail map as it can help understand where you are on the mountain. Followed up the chairlift on left from main lodge, then took right and stayed uphill from condos. After that the trail is well marked. Just didn't see any signs starting off, skiers helpful to me. Well packed out, took advanced path which wasn't steep. At top of last chairlift took spur to first sign and beginning of AT, then continued on to next bump which is Saddleback peak. There were three bumps, if you may with Saddleback peak in the middle. Numerous skiers enjoying themselves, great to see them, all looking for lines thru the trees! Continued to the Horn following AT, pretty easy to follow. One or two tracks go off once in awhile and noticed some spruce traps where they went. After being in Maine for 7 straight days of hiking, this one had more bare rock than any others. At least a dozen white blazes could be seen, not much snow between the peaks compared to the other 12 NEHH peaks in the area. Just a great day solo!
