It was a blue bird day! Started early and trail was frozen enough that spikes were good with no postholing or snow buildup. In the steeps, definitely suggest good traction [mountain snowshoes]. As the day progressed, temps warmed and snow softened. It got a bit sticky and clumpy. Firewardens down is steep. Definitely did some butt sliding for safety in spots. Trail was in good shape though and well traveled for this trip. |
