Comments
Comments: this time we opted to avoid the logging slash and approached from the earlier skidder trail that leaves elephant mountain road. we followed this overgrown logging road to a cairn where the herd path started. this was super easy to follow for quite a while, straight up with a nice open path to follow. then you hit a thick wall of trees and the whack starts, although much easier than the section above the logging slash. highly recommend this route
