Parking/Access Road Notes: Success Pond Road is getting more washboardy as time goes on this year..bridge work a short distance after Goose Eye/Carlo trailhead but there's a temporary bridge..road better after that...

Water Crossing Notes: Sucker Brook has changed it's course and so there's really no worries doing the 2 crossings early on Speck Pond Trail.. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some step over blowdowns and go under ones also..not many obstacle ones..a few were removed as this was a trail work/check day..there's many bog/plank bridges that are dicey and many that are not on the trails..care is needed, lots of spikes sticking up!!

Comments: Lots of leaves down and a check and work day..no view at the viewpoints, snow showers!! Speck Pond Trail being pretty slabby and rocky up higher, care needs to be taken on the slippery slabs and small ledges..after all it is the Mahoosuc Range...
