We couldn't have asked for a better day to revisit my favorite 4k. This time, we ascended via the Fire Warden's Trail from the Kingfield side of the mountain. The trail is in good shape, and it was a very enjoyable hike. There was very little wind, and the summit was a perfect spot to enjoy the spectacular views and eat lunch. Now is the best time to hike in the High Peaks, as the foliage has reached peak! |
