Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a great trail for dogs. I saw 2 other than my own this morning. However, conditions are extremely dry right now and so while there is normally water in places on this trail, there is absolutely none right now. So you will want to make sure that you bring plenty for you and your dog.
Bugs
Bugs: Not too bad. A few mosquitoes and deer flies.

Comments
Comments: These trails are in good condition but are very dry. There is often water running along side the trail and several streams but no water right now.I expected to find at least some on Woodsum Spur because there is a nice brook running across the trail. But it is bone dry. Fortunately, I brought enough water for me and my dog. So as I said in the dog related comments, make sure you bring plenty. The most water you will find is maybe a mud slick. Hopefully, the weather report is correct and we will get rain tonight.
