The White Brook Trail is a relatively easy way to get up to the highest peak in the 100 Mile Wilderness. It is lightly used and you will probably not see anybody on your hike (except for a few thru hikers). In recent years there have been road improvements so any vehicle can get there and the total distance for this one is about 6 miles up and back. Check on Maine Trail Finder for directions.
Note: there is a planned relocation of the lower section of the trail which currently follows the old road. The route is obvious but brushy. |
