Only one other car in the Bald Pate Preserve Parking Lot (Bob Chase Trailhead) at 9:45am. About three when we left shortly after noon. |

|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trails are well maintained and well marked. When going up the Pate Trail, when the trail reaches the large boulder, it looks as if there are paths going both left and right; there is a trail marker visible if one looks to the right, but it might also help to have branches or something blocking the left to indicate that it is the wrong direction. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Trails are fine for dogs, and we saw several. |
|
| Bugs: |
One of us who had spent a lot of time in the blueberry bushes got a large tick on the back. Other than that, the bugs were not bad at all. |

| Comments: |
The Bob Chase Trailhead kiosk had nice trail maps of the preserve available to take. We ate about a thousand small wild blueberries from the bushes at the summit, but there are thousands more! |
