| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Something like 16.6 miles down Spencer rd… there is a sign pointing to the right to hiking trailhead but recommended a high clearance vehicle on this lightly traveled road. Tall grass in center of road and many loose rocks…. Saying all this I did make it down in my Mazda CX-5 with no issues. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
From kiosk to marked trail is very grassy on an overgrown road… not sure what can be done for maintenance here…. But rest of the trail is maintained very nicely and trail is very enjoyable to hike. Great job and thank you to maintainer’s. Nice steps and big bridges. |

Nice easy trail to the Summit for 2.9 miles. Views are incredible…. The nature conservancy has a sign on tower not to climb because it’s unsafe… views are just as grand at different spots atop summit anyways. Spent close to an hour at summit with no one else around. So many mountains, lakes, moose river, to see including Katahdin. Highly recommend this hike…. Just a ways to get there from 201. Saw a bear cub on side of Spencer rd on way out. |
