Trails: Bear Brook Road, herd path, bushwhack
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Friday, July 1, 2022
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Do not drive down Kennebago River Road from Route 16. It is a private association and you will come to a locked gate just before you reach Lincoln Pond/Tim Pond Road. Instead, go via Morton Cutoff to Lincoln Pond Road to the public access point of Kennebago River Road. Continue on Kennebago River Road for about 4 miles until you come to Wiggle Brook, take a left, then take your first right onto Bear Brook Road. Most of Bear Brook is easy going but a couple of short sections may ruin your car if you don't have a high clearance vehicle. Park at the second set of boulders (about 2 miles in).

Comments
Comments: White Cap (96) & Kennebago divide (97) done!

Be careful of moose on the road, a bull moose ran in front of my car on Route 16, a 1/2 hour later another moose ran in front of my car, then when I was driving on Bear Brook a third smaller moose darted in front of my car.
