 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Doubletop brook was running a little high… I had to go up stream just a little to find a safe way to cross. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
From the Nesowadnehunk campground to Doubletop brook ( 1.3 miles ) had multiple blowdown’s that were either a herd path around or a duck under. Trail had a few significant muddy sections also. About 0.4 mile from north peak summit trail was a stream…. Definitely needs some drainage work in that section. |

 | Bugs: |
Mosquitoes & black flies…. I wore a headnet to the brook… then after that they weren’t bad. |

Absolute gorgeous day for this hike…. Besides the blowdown’s, bugs, and high water crossing ( which truthfully weren’t that bad ) the day was a day to remember. Views atop north & south peak and the 0.2 mile ridge walk were stunning to say the least. Views of BSP, 100 mile wilderness, Big & Little Spencer Mtn’s, Moose Mtn we’re clear and picture perfect. Nice cool breeze but warm under the sun. Couldn’t ask for a better day on top of a mountain. 7.5 mile out & back hike |
