I walked a short distance up Mud Brook Trail and then crossed the brook and bushwhacked up to the Haystack Ridge. I walked the entire ridge, hitting all bumps. The woods were mainly open and the ridge was very easy to follow. After hitting the highpoint of Haystack, I bushwhacked up to Caribou, hitting Mud Brook Trail not far from the summit. I then headed down the Caribou Tr., making the short bushwhack side trip to Gammon.
