The loop is a bit over 5 miles total and passes a number of directional viewpoints, the most significant of which are called South Ledge and North Ledge. The trail is very well constructed, with lots of bridges, stone steps, and switchbacks. It's a relatively easy hike with few steep sections. The trail was very busy today, but I was lucky to get about 20 minutes at South Ledge to myself. The best views were towards the White Mountains and the Presidentials were particular impressive today. It was a very nice hike, but a bit busy for my liking. |
