Comments
Comments: The trail was mostly frozen granular - snow/ice up until hitting the exposed ledges. Some MAJOR ice sections. We had spikes and were still having to move off trail because it was such thick ice-even with spikes. Once in the more exposed sections, there was some ice/snow but lots of exposed rock and frozen mud. Summit had a decent amount of snow from the trail junction with Southwest Ridge Trail to the top, although the steep up right after this was icy and again had to go around in some parts. With the snow coming today, the ice will be hidden. Be cautious as it's there and until it's packed down over this ice, could be dangerous.
