Comments
Comments: Awesome 3 night trip to the South Branch bunkhouse with GO, Donna, and BoB who hiked other stuff that day. Tote road has excellent skiing. Pogy Notch Trail is well broken, but for summit day we just walked across the pond. Center Ridge Trail was unbroken and difficult to follow. We bushwhacked half of it. The trail/whack is now broken out. Above tree line is mostly consolidated snow with some exposed rock and very little ice. We wore snowshoes for the complete hike. Plan A was to do the complete loop, but breaking trail and route navigation slowed us down too much. Beautiful day though... We could see the dotted line that marks the Canadian border! :)
