Comments
Comments: The trail was fairly well packed from the lot for most of the way. Obviously a bunch of folks had been up since the blizzard on Saturday. This went past the tepee on Southwest Ridge and all the way down to where the 'peeper pond' is in the wet months. Then it just stopped. I was the first to go beyond that since the storm. No problem snowshoeing to the junction with Ledges trail. One or two folks had postholed up Ledges trail to the summit after the storm but the trail is not packed yet. Very windy on the top. I could see the Big Guy (Washington) but his top was shrouded in clouds. When I was back on Southwest Ridge trail I noticed a bandit side trail that some skiers had made. It was well packed while the real trail had just my snowshoe prints on it. If you are not very familiar with SW Ridge trail, just make sure you are following the blazes. They are fairly prominent in this spot.
