Snowshoes from start to finish. Followed active snowmobile trail to sign on left pointing summit where trail wasn’t broken out. Straight up to north/west ledge to magnificent views of the white’s…. Beautiful view of Mt. Washington… broke trail over to summit where there is a nice view of Mt. Tom & Pleasant Mtn. Nice view of Burnt Meadow & Stone Mtn at a view point. Followed my tracks back to the ledges where I met a young fella with no traction. I smoothed down what I could but he had to come back eventually. More snowshoes and there will be a nice track. I don’t think this trail gets used much so if you want a short & sweet snowshoe hike…. Go for hit! Views are great to. 3.5 mile hike. |
