Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the plowed mark, but could have made it in an suv or truck to 1.5 down the road to the summer lot where I saw a suv. Do not try to go down the actual trailhead as that is just snowmobile marks... and a stuck van that thankfully was unstuck when I returned

Comments
Comments: Well these two closed out my winter Maine 4k's for the ne67 winter list I am going for. I was able to bareboot to 2400'!!! This made my feet happy after 2 days of full snowshoe days. I was tired of carrying the snowshoes so I put them on, but they were for sure overkill and spikes would have done just fine. Once to the col is where snowshoes were best as the drifts built up in some spots and it was some soft snow. Below the col it was only 5" of snow or so which is crazy that the other peaks I was on had way more snow everywhere. I hit both peaks and met the two guys in the white suv and told them to pick me up if they see me on the road. I swapped to spikes when I came back to the col and spiked all the way down past all the elevation gains on the trail and then barebooted it the rest of the way out. This is the most foot traffic I have seen out on the Maine peaks! I was back down to my car by 2pm and sadly had to walk the whole way, oh well. Snow is coming in for Maine and I am glad I was able to grab these summits while I could. Onto Vermont!!!
