Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Friday, December 24, 2021
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The logging road is being used, so it was plowed up to just below the sharp right turn. I made my own spot in the side of the road.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow - Drifts
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There was some marshy areas with standing water, but it's starting to freeze.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I hate logging slash so much. The bottom part of the bushwhack had a ton of brush piles that were treacherous and hard to avoid in the dark.

Comments
Comments: The logging road was easy, but once I hit the bushwhack in the dark, it got gnarly. I couldn't stay on any defined herdpath. I fell a dozen times in the slash and managed to draw blood on my shins twice, despite 3 thick layers of clothing between me and the huge brush piles. Once I got closer to the summit, it was easier going; the trees aren't too heavy with snow yet. By the time I got back to my car at 10pm, it was 6 degrees.
