| Comments: |
My plan was to get to Speckled Mt and Blueberry Mt via the Bickford Brook Trail and coming down Blueberry Ridge Trail. I got a late start and didn't have the time to get up to either summit. There was some snow and ice on Bickford Brook Trail getting icier on the upper elevation, spikes went on close to the trail junction with Spruce Hill. Blueberry Ridge was the wrong trail to go down, it was treacherous going down the icy ledges covered in a dusting of snow. The Kahtoolas were useless so I tried to slide down when possible. After I got past the steep part, the rest of the trail was relatively moderate after that part. I saw one other person out going in the opposite direction and he found some gloves I dropped and left them for me. Thanks! |
